Do any of y'all believe in "signs"?
I go back and forth about it. Either way, on my first day of work, this was my "sign" that I was both in the right place in life and near my cubicle.
Way way back in the day, when a stamp was three cents, the founder of my little state was featured on postage.
The building I work in is peppered with local art and interesting factoids A lot of the people who work in my building were transplants from Boston, so I assume they filled the place with these items to inform people about where they were and its history.
This is the art I sit closest to. For my first few weeks it was my navigational beacon. My first day I saw it and thought "Of course! I love mail, and this is the universe telling me that right now, this moment, this is where I am supposed to be. Why else would this be here?"

I don't think I am really a "signs" person but I love when little things line up like that. I think that is super nifty, and fitting, to have your desk be right by the postage stamp :)
ReplyDeleteI never knew about the vintage postage stamp for Roger Williams. I love it.
